Custom Recovery[CWM]

Finally, ClockworkMod Recovery[CWM] has been ported to Micromax A74 Canvas Fun, to install clackworkmod recovery to your phone follow these steps.

Make sure you have rooted your device before using CWM recovery, if you haven't rooted your device yet, go here ROOT MICROMAX A74.

1. Download recovery.img  here. 

2. Download Mobileuncletools.apk  here.

3. Install mobile uncle tools and put the downloaded recocery.img in the root of your sdcard. (you can put it in any of the sdcard).

4. Open MobileUncleTools in your app drawer and tap on "RECOVERY UPDATE" as shown in image.


It will look for recovery.img and when you see the recovery.img tap on the "recovery.img" as shown in image below.


Click on OK when prompted.



Now tap on OK again, reboot into recovery to make sure you have successfully installed CWM recovery.

      I haven't tried it on Micromax a63, but the rooting method for A74 will work on your phone and you can create custom recovery using MTK Droid Tools easily

    Please help me .....
    I am root my system, download recovery.img & mobileuncle install & flash the recovery .img from recovery update then say reboot in cmw recovery mode but in my case mobile only restart not entered in cmw mode ......(i am flowing your all step shows in your page )
    How to goes on cmw mode to install custome rom ?

      Power off your phone again, then reboot by pressing Power and Volume buttons simultaneously. Keep pressing them untill you see the Canvas Logo

      Do you have any app like SuperSu or SuperUser installed in your phone, if not then download SuperSU in your phone and then you can easily check in it

      Yes, obviously I did and this worked for me. If this method is not working for you and you have root access on your device then try to compile recovery automatically for your phone using MTK Droid Tools.
